When we launched the Formby Property Tycoon, we hoped a handful of local businesses might want to get involved. What actually happened exceeded every expectation. Within a short time, every sponsorship spot was spoken for — and we had more brilliant local businesses wanting to be part of it than we had room for on the board.
This is Formby at its best: a community that backs its own, supports something genuinely fun, and comes together around a project that'll sit on kitchen tables for years to come.

Introducing Community Supporters
Headline and community sponsor spots are taken — but the response has been so overwhelming that we've created a new way to get involved. For a contribution of £100, any local business or individual can become a named Community Supporter of the Formby Property Tycoon.
This is a community project first and foremost, and a fundraising effort for St Joseph's Hospice. We don't want to turn anyone away who genuinely wants to support something good for Formby.

About the Competition
About the Formby Property Tycoon game
Think Monopoly — but every street, station, landmark and card is Formby. Stephanie Macnab Estate Agents is running a community competition where local people nominate the streets, the local venues, and the cards that reflect life in Formby.
The competition closes 30 August 2026. An initial prototype run of 20 copies will be produced for competition winners, sponsors, and Formby Heritage Centre — with a full public production run to follow. Sponsors' names are printed on the board in every copy, from the very first prototype onwards. Every time a Formby family sits down to play, their name is part of the game.

Supporting St Joseph's Hospice: Any surplus generated by the competition after production and running costs will be donated to St Joseph's Hospice, serving Merseyside and beyond. Every sponsor is contributing to something the whole community can feel proud of.
